| FL Phil | I show that the 97 & 99's were 30' front and 32' rear I ran mine 99 at 28' & 30'.
2000 and above is 28' front and rear.These are for the Goodyear run flats only, don't know about any other tire. |
| 392HEMI | You will find some members go with their own pressure settings, like A/C, who has super glued his dentures and kidneys to handle the hard ride of 35 + lbs per tire. Many follow the door sticker suggested pressure so it is somewhat individualized. "low tire" light triggers at 26 lbs. . |

| AZProwler | Thanks for the information on Tire pressure's. My rear tires say "44 psi MAX". When I checked them today they are at 28 psi. I bought my '99 Prowler in March of 2020 and love this thing, but the LOW TIRE light keeps coming on. When I visually inspect all 4 tires they seem fine except for one (1) of the Front tires that keeps dropping to 28 psi so I figured that was the 'problem child tire' and kept babysitting it. The rear tires [always] looked fine visually. So today I finally put a pressure check on the Rear's and they were at 24 psi. THATS the problem. The specs on the Rear tire says "44 psi MAX". The car rides rough enough as it is (and I like that), but my wife doesn't. So please recommend a good tire pressure for the Rear's. Thanks (Newbie to the group) |
| 1stMadMan | AZ I would recommend you get rid of the Goodyear run flats. Not only will it be safer and the ride quality much better it will make your wife happy.

| VinceM | The 44 psi max is the spec for the “tire” not the car. I run 28 psi for all 4 Continental tires. Good ride quality and no adverse wear patterns. I had a tire that would lose pressure over time. No nails etc to cause a slow leak. Turned out the bead was leaking. Easy fix a my tire shop. |

| ZuluProwler | I run the recommended pressure of 28 PSI front and rear as per my sticker for a 2001. I have the OEM run flats and it was a quantum leap from the 42 PSI in the tires when I took delivery. I now know that was just to shut me up because the TPMS had failed. I find the lower pressure and the run flats give me a perfectly acceptable ride. I recently bought a full set of wheels with almost-new run flats and will not give them up. Stay tuned for full size rear wheels going on my trailer, just waiting for spacers before I spell out how and if I have made it work. PS: My wife definitely noticed the improvement at 28 PSI and mentioned it without being asked. I think it's because her sunglasses stayed on over railway crossings... | 1stMadMan | Zulu are you going with the 17’” or the 20” for the trailer? Please post your findings when you’ve worked out what spacers etc are required. Does your 2001 Orange have dynamics or Koni shocks? Mine had the dynamics that were utterly unacceptable and leaked after only 6000 miles. |

| ed monahan | If you have runflats the ride is going to suck no matter what you set it at. If you ever drive a Prowler with regular tires you will realize how bad the runflat ride is. Other opinions may vary but I have switched back and forth on the same day and it is as different as night and day. The sidewalls on the runflats are extremely thick, they are not going to flex very much. |
| ClayD | I run 32 in the rear per the door jamb sticker. 29 in front stops the TPMS light from flashing. Sticker says 28 for the front. Like others have said, the ride is drastically better with non-run flat tires.

| Snaglus1947 | I found a noticeable difference with just a couple extra pounds so I run all at 28 pounds. Depends a lot on the tires of course but experiment if needed but dont overinflate. |

Answer: Full size rear 20"s are fitted! The 17"s did not provide the look I wanted. I'll post a new topic with all of the details once I can get some good pics and add a few finishing touches. Right now she's on the ground and looking good in her new shoes..! I'll check tomorrow, not sure what shocks I have, but at only 3500 miles they will not have much wear so have no idea about their longevity. My muddy memory 'thinks' I saw Koni on them while doing my VSL's and rear link seals.
